Since 2023, Fulcrum has donated the 5% fee we receive from funds donated to our sponsored projects\u00a0 to help foster food security in the Nehalem Bay area.\u00a0<\/strong> We give to\u00a0Nehalem Bay Community Services food pantry (formerly the Methodist Church), the North County Food Bank in Wheeler, Nehalem Elementary School weekend lunch program, and Little Food Pantries (located in Manzanita and Nehalem).<\/p>\n

We support local growers by paying for bread (Wolf Moon Bakery and Handy Creek Bakery), eggs (Sunbeam farm) and veggies (Moon River Farm and Kingfisher Farm) to be donated to the food banks. We<\/span>\u00a0a<\/span>lso contribute funds to <\/span>Meals for Seniors in Rockaway and the \u201cpay it forward\u201d program at Big Shaun\u2019s Smash Burgers at the Mohler Coop, as well as\u00a0the Manzanita Farmers Market and Moon River Farm to increase “double up” “to “triple up” food bucks” for folks on SNAP.<\/span><\/p>\n
